We zoomed north, skipped most of New England, and headed in land, through New York state up to Canada and Niagra Falls.
The Falls are amazing in person.
I had heard about them but I didn't think they would be something
to drive across the country to see.
It turns out, they are something to see.
Some shots of the boat you can ride up to the falls.
I think the tunnels are better, though.
We viewed the falls up close by going into the tunnels behind the Falls.
There were tunnels cut into the rock to run the hydro-electric plant
without mangling the Falls.
There are a few that you can take an elevator down to
and you come out behind the falls or you can follow the
tunnels up to a viewing platform and see the edge of the falls
up close. They handed out rain ponchos but we still got wet.
