I went to a
Koi and Goldfish Show
yesterday. Pretty fish.
And pictures from my wife’s trip to
Galloway’s Running Camp
and her first attempt at a
50K run at 7 to 9 thousand feeti.

The
book list
hasn’t been changing much because I haven’t had time to read novels.
Instead I’ve been reading magazines and comics.
Definitely not literature, but something to fall asleep to at night.

My reading has been thining out but today famine turned into feast.
In the mail the
Smithonian
arrived along with newsletters from
The Japanese Garden
and
Cloud Mountain Retreat Center
.
I went to the comic book store and they had my
Simpsons
,
Futurama
,
Oh My Goddess
,
Usagi Yojimbo
,
and
Super Manga Blast
.
I can now fall asleep to a varied collection of light entertainment.

Today, as part of my training for the
Portland Marathon
, I ran 25K (15.5 miles).
That’s a long way.

I live in an “upscale” neighborhood.
That means we receive piles and piles (and pile) of catalogs in the mail.

Today we recieved our first halloween costume selection.
Back to school and Fall clothes have been available for a while.
Christmas is close!!

All week I work during the day with computers at work and then I come home and the most I can do is browse.
So I lurk at the blogs in my list to the left but don’t add much.
Then the weekend comes and I can play!!
Entries here and comments there.
Makes for a slow blog.

Summer time, and the flowers are blooming (sung to the tune of “Summer Time”) ….

Tomorrow evening (Fri) we are placing the stones in the front porch. I’ll move the
camera
out there so you can watch us working. Enjoy the remodelling.

On the Forth of July, we ran the Independence Mini-Marathon with our graddaughter and then watched the small town parade.
