And on through Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin,
Minnesota, to the Badlands of South Dakota...
The next major stop was the Badlands of South Dakota.
As I have said before,
this trip was in springtime and we had very mild weather,
and here, in the
Badlands which had been a major obstacle to wagon trains and farmers,
there was green grass and pleasant temperatures.
The kids will never believe the center of America can be hot and dry.
The scenery was great though.
