A trip to Grandma's and then to Universal Studios.
You might notice that this quaint back lot look is very similar
to the MGM theme park in Walt Disney World. In fact, looking
back, it's hard to remember what rides were in which park. Skip
King Kong in this one, though -- it's a long wait for not much.
The real reason we came to this place was to visit the center
of our kids TV world -- Nickelodeon Studios. To the
left is the slime machine.
We got in line and took a tour of the studio. It's not
much -- just a view of the control room and a quick look at
the production studios. The best part was a "show" that the
kids took part in. They asked questions, had comments, and
competed for the chance to get "slimed". To the right is a
little girl (4 or so) getting a bucket of slime poured
over her head. You should have seen the smile on her face --
I have never seen a happier little girl. As a parent,
I can only shake my head.
Here is a floor show hosted by BettleJuice (wrong spelling,
though).
Universal Studios has better "back lots" then MGM.
Cute.
